Career

After high school, I attended Quincy College and obtained an Associate's Degree in Business Management. I was always genuinely interested in working with business owners and online advertising.  Aside from working full time, any spare time I had, whether it was on lunch breaks, driving to and from work, nights, and weekends, I worked as an independent marketing consultant helping businesses one on one with their marketing.   After two years of hard work, I finally built up my business and clientele enough to give my two-week notice and work for myself full-time. It was then my company L2L Creative Group, Inc., was created. Fast forward to today, my company works with businesses worldwide, I am a Massachusetts & Florida real estate agent with over $10+ million in sales, and I'm a children's book publisher.

What clubs and activities did you participate in while you were a student at Blue Hills?

Track

How did your time at Blue Hills prepare you for what you are doing now?

I can proudly attest that BHR was the reason I went into business for myself. I was never a straight-A student; I don’t think I ever brought a book home from school, and I actually failed the MCAS. It was when Blue Hills launched a new class called ""Entrepreneurial Skills"" in my senior year that motivated me to start my own company. It was the first time I had ever looked forward to attending class and probably the first time I took the book home and read it out of enjoyment. This course provided the drive, clarity, and direction I needed for my future and inspired me to do something I was passionate about - being my own boss.

What advice would you give to BHR students?

  1. Surround yourself with people who are smarter than you.
  2. Ask questions if you don't understand something.
  3. If you want something in life, figure out how to get it. It can be as simple as writing a step-by-step list of baby steps to attain it.
  4. You define how you want to live your life, and you are the only one who can create the life you want to live.
